“Memories are the treasures that we keep locked deep within the storehouse of our souls, to keep our hearts warm when we are lonely.”– Becky Aligada

1st of July

Rainy season is coming. Though breeze started to cool down, it was not a guarantee that the weather would always be bitter. I thought that today would be great day, but to everyone’s surprise. It rained hard after lunch time and lasted for an hour or so. We waited for our professor for half an hour while we  sat on the corridor.  Praying silently for the rain to stop.

Victory But I guess our prayer was not that strong. Instead, it felt like the sky had poured all its anger on land. The thunder roared loudly while its lightning tore the skies. The car alarms were triggered, trying to compete with noise of the heavens. I watched people walking at the lobby trying to avoid the wet floor while the janitors kept on mopping. I felt betrayed, cause I didn’t bring my umbrella with me at the same time I was half blaming myself for not taking the possibility that it might rain.
