3 month-old N97 phone crashed?!

I’m no fan of N97 – cause it’s way too expensive for a phone. But who would have thought that this touch screen, supposedly “smart phone” has a lot a defects?

My classmate Nona, got her N97 last October shipped from Saudi and my brother also purchased one from Robinson’s Lipa after a month for around P28,000 for the 32gb version.

Until 2 weeks ago, Nona experienced hangs and slowing down of applications whenever she tries to open one.  She asked me if I can help her distinguish how it happened.

We tried to plug the phone in our PC, but unfortunately it didn’t work. No signs of charging or respond to connectivity.

We put a SIM to check if it can still recognize it – No signal – Nothing!!

1st of all, having a 32gb internal memory is really scary. Why? Just like this case, the consumers are confident to store and use it because of the high memory capacity not knowing that NOKIA isn’t really  ready to compete with APPLE and Blackberry’s quality!

2nd: if a company’s going to release an expensive phone – they should consider the QUALITY and assure the customers that its worth their penny!

I’ve been using nokia phones for 7 years now (since they launched 5110) but I never really bother to entertain expensive ones because it’s to risky. The purpose loses its true value and come on?!  Cheaper phones can last up to 2-3years without having much trouble (common cases: battery drains easily)
