This is probably my most impulsive choice of destination. Booked my ticket on the 10th of November and left the country on the 12th. Hahaha! It was indeed a moment of impulse adventure. After hearing that a friend of mine was in Singapore, I decided to kidnap him for a 3days 2 nights adventure in Batam City, Indonesia.

My choice of flight was Air Asia, which had to be early because Singapore will only be my transit to Indonesia. We have to get to Harbour Front before 5pm, so that we’ll be able to get to Batam the same day. Reasons why I had to leave the house around 3am and I was expecting traffic along the way.

Oh by the way, FYI: some people are confused with NAIA Terminal 4. Just to be clear, it’s in the same vicinity with Terminal 2 Domestic Airport. Yeah, t2 and t4 is in the same area.

Going back to my crazy 7day adventure – My flight connects MNL- Kuala Lumpur – Singapore. My supposed to be 3.5 hours of air travel had a long break. I arrived at Changi Airport 3:00pm. (And I just realized I had to hurry up because our ferry leaves at 5pm!!) My buddy and I decided to meet at Chinatown MRT/ Outram Park which by the way is around 20-30minutes MRT ride from the Airport.

I even had to but a 18$SG worth of Sim card just to contact him, because I failed to set my network roaming.
Our adventure was more likely ‘Amazing Race Asia’ because we wanted to get to Batam as early as possible. We we’re panicking and had no time to discuss our plans upon arriving in Batam because we had to rush back to the MRT for a short ride to Habour Front. Hahaha!

Look at the time? My stay in Bangkok is surely short, but very busy. After my meetings with the Big Boss, I’m enjoying the rest of my hours here in Hilton. Thanks to Emily and Maricar who helped with my accommodations, I got out the airport around 8pm. I know that once we get in Bangkok, the gap between me and sleep will grow more. Even the luxury of the hotel room wasn’t enough to tie me down in bed. Oh how I badly wanted to get some sleep.

There might be a hundred and one things that I don’t understand but I was really fascinated with how they actually travel by land, crossing borders, blending to the locals. Since I have a driver to help me in the city, I’m stock with the idea of missing the adventure.

So this morning, I decided to become a ninja to experience the city for a few hours. From the hotel, I walked for about half a mile before I was entirely and successfully gone unnoticed. There are certain words that I can grasp but it was hard since some of the locals were having a hard time understanding me too.

I wanted to buy something for my brother, so I asked for a friend’s help. She did the translating, and guided me to where I can buy some good stuff. We ended up Chatuchak Market, the largest weekend market. Since it was still early, we decided to eat breakfast first. For the first time in my life, I literally felt that I was a Fire Dragon! Hahahaha!!

Imagine these, so beautiful and colorful can make you breath fire? OMG! But it made my day! I’d surely pass coffee this morning cause this one really kicked me wide awake.

Feeling like a lost kid in a big city and hours of wondering, They finally noticed I was missing!! I know I was wrong, but I knew that they won’t let me go if I asked them too. Seeing a driver pick me up in the airport is already an omen of ‘NO, YOU CAN’T”. And I deserve a sermon, it’s a miracle I didn’t get one. Hmmm… I wonder why?

With a few more hours before my contract ends, my boss gave a lunch conference for the whole team as a ‘thank you’. Everybody seems excited to go home for the holiday, but the girls and I were busy planning what to do next. I haven’t been to the water park, or the floating market and I want to watch a Muay Thai fight, so there are still a lot of things to do. Argghhhh!! I can’t wait for January!

Oh by the way, thank you Maricar and Emily! You saved me.

It’s been a while huh? The Queen of Randomness becomes clueless? I don’t know, but yeah. That has been bugging me for quiet sometime now.
Anyway, I just got off from work and series of meetings this morning for the year end assessments. And because of that, I’ll be flying to Indonesia tomorrow morning for a 2 day meeting. Yes, before the office closes for the holiday. How unfortunate? I can’t find the words. I’m clueless!

Misa de Gallo has started yesterday, but I failed to attend. I have readings and papers to finish! And when this happens, there’ll be a huge sign in my door “The owner must not leave this premises because she hasn’t finished her reviews.” Arggh!! What else do I do? I’m clueless!

I’ll go nuts if I don’t take a break. I kinda hate doing the tables, so I end up multitasking. Either I surf the net to search for places for my next hibernating season or just an escape. I’m clueless!
But luckily, or at least, if my dear boss isn’t around – I don’t really have work to do. So, I end up chatting. (Don’t ask what my job is, it’s not so interesting that you’d want to apply for it. Hahaha!)

Since ‘we’, that later on turned to ‘I’ love to travel, (because my beloved 4 travel buddies got married) one of them gave me this Dating Site and suggested me to look around, meet friends and go out, so I wouldn’t be so ‘boring’. That’s how she calls me, my life and my job. It wouldn’t hurt to try it though. To make it short, I created an account – and that was years/ages ago. I think I wrote something about it before, when I first tried it? Anyway, since everybody has been in love with the idea of falling in love, my status remains on ‘friendship’. I’m not playing safe, but I’ve been there before. Just like any other girls, I’m also in the line waiting for Mr. ‘knight in shinning armor’ to come. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Though it was a wishful thinking that it’ll come all wrapped for Christmas? Plus, I wasn’t so nice this year so I don’t get to have one. Let’s not sugarcoat reality.

Back to being clueless. It was actually a good stretch to meet people and extend friendship in all size, shape, color and language. I don’t often talk about my feelings not unless there are multiple emotions that starts to sprout and mob me. (As if I have 10 conscience). I don’t chat multiple guys, I don’t keep reserves.
So, we’ve been talking to each other for quiet sometime now and I really like him. He’s nice, sweet, straightforward and knows what he wants. Other than that? The rest is in my preference, so back off and don’t judge. Luckily, my schedule for new year happens to be in his location. I’m really clueless about this and everything but I’m excited. I don’t know! Maybe because for the first time in my life, I realized I’m not really boring when I’m so random?

The adventure of the lost being

And the last day of school has come! Literally, ending my college life journey. I’m graduatinggggggggg!! Hurrah!

Oh well, didn’t actually expect to end 2 terms earlier but it feels really great.

Now I’m off to my adventures! Yes! ADVENTURE! I have no place in mind so I choose something out of the blue.
My dilemma with packing isn’t over yet. My mind’s clouded with too much excitement. Hopefully I didn’t forget anything. See you around guys! Madrid here I come!
